On the spur of the moment I started to create a picture story of my current doll project. This is something I have never done before. It tells about and shows some of the intricate stages of crafting my art dolls.
I am in the process of creating 6 dolls at the same time, which is another thing I have never done before. Usually I concentrate on 1 or 2 dolls at a time.
But these 6 have to be created together because they are part of each other and belong together, just like a family: 4" and 10" Moana, 4" and 10" Tala and, of course, 4" and 10" Maui.
Small and big Maui are as fat as I could make them. Small and big Tala are a little bit heavy set. Small and big Moana are fairly slim girls.
I know who is who just by looking at their bodies and heads. The next steps are the faces, eyebrows and hair.
I will start with big and small Maui.

10" and 4" Tala are devoted to the concept of being true to yourself
and listening to your heart.
The faces are done, now the eyebrows and hair.
And here they are: big and small Maui! They look naughty. Pele is watching the progress.

And last but not least big and small Moana!
They are ready to conquer the world right after they get some clothes.
After I am done with the clothes and accessories we will all go to Punalu'u Black Sand Beach to take pictures, because everybody in this Ohana is an ocean doll.
10" and 4" Moana are invincible and ready for adventure to preserve the higher good of all.

It took almost a month to finish this project. I fell in love with each and everyone of the Moana Ohana. It was an amazing and deeply fulfilling experience!
