Puna is a Ho'ola (healer). Walking along the shores of the magnificent Punalu’u Black Sands Beach, Puna searches for the gorgeous corals, he is named after.
When the signs are right and the spirits permit, he gathers the corals. Chanting a Pule (prayer) to give thanks for the gift, Puna cleans the corals in the ocean water and merges with their Mana.

Being around Puna’s corals and healing Mana leaves a feeling 

of deep inner peace and happiness.

Wearing a red coral crown on his head, Puna is the Ali’I (king) of the corals.
Puna's Tutu (grandmother) sewed his Malu (loincloth) and matching Kihei (shawl) out of beige cotton with a Monstera leaf design. She adorned one side of the Kihei with Ti Leaves and wove Ti Leaf anklets for Puna.

The Hawaiian Ti Plant invokes spiritual protection and healing.

All these things were Tutu's sacred gifts of Aloha (Love) to her beloved Mo’opuna Kane (grandson).

Puna is a 10” tall cloth doll who was individually handcrafted on the Big Island of Hawaii with the greatest love and respect for all that is Hawaii. His body is made out of doll skin and stuffed with high quality poly fill. The body is wired for flexibility. The eyes and mouth are intricately embroidered onto the face giving the doll a unique personality. All accessories are individually hand crafted.
Puna is not a dress up doll. All clothing and accessories are sewn and/or glued onto him.
Doll care: Gently brush the dolls and their clothing with a soft toothbrush to remove dust. Always brush the faces and bodies upwards towards the hair. Do not brush the hair!
